Pewter toy Halberd
Small pewter or lead halberd, measuring 90mm long by 18mm wide, either a toy or a miniature weapon charm. If it was a toy it may have been attached to a toy soldier/knight and discarded when the object was broken from the main figurine. The circular stand or base of the halberd has been bent sideways. It may also have been a weapon charm dating to the Renaissance period. These objects were not attached by pins and so were presumably worn differently or carried.
Halberds were a very common weapon in late medieval warfare (1350-1500s) comprising a wooden pole with an axe head and spike attached at the end c. 1.8m long. They were used to cut and thrust with one of the purposes used to pull knights off horses.

Mvh. Mia Toftdal og Stuart Whatley.
