Bygningen på billedet har ikke været accisebod, men bolig for portneren ved Amagerport og senere som vagthus.
Den rigtige accisebod, som også blev kaldt "Tylvten", lå på Amagerbrogade omtrent over for Markmandsgades udmunding. Vejen hed dengang blot Amagerbro, og huset fik på et senere tidspunkt adressen Amagerbro 6. Bygningen blev nedrevet i 1913.
Accise blev opkrævet fra 1718 til 1852.
